This is one of those books. I'd heard about it before; the movie adaptation was mentioned in Nintendo Power magazine, but didn't seem to stay in cinemas very long. What kind of spy does that?!! While searching the library, Alex finds a map in a book about tin mining which matches the diagram left by Ian. Now, I feel exciting and I want to take a part in fighting to be just like Alex Rider. They get a bit of 'the-same' thing for the next 4 book.
Still can't really explain why I like these books - Horowitz's target audience is clearly 14 year old boys who don't read much. She goes there and finds Alex's true identity; while there, she is disturbed by and consequently fights Jack. They get a bit of 'the-same' thing for the next 4 book. However, Sayle grows to dislike Alex, after Alex is discovered in a restricted area of the base, and later defeats Sayle in a game of snooker. The housekeeper, Alex's good friend Jack Starbright, opens the door to learn that Alex's uncle, Ian Rider, has been killed in a car accident. This leads to a meeting with Uncle Ian's.
As a result of these factors, plans to produce further Alex Rider films were dropped. In this novel, Alex's uncle dies in what he is told is a car accident. The character of Alex Rider is, perhaps, a little over-the-top at times but he combines that with a down-to-earth perspective on life and people. Alex hails cab driven by Sale. Realizes he only has one hour until virus will be released. Then the Jason Steed series came out which is as good.

But this book although aimed at the teenage audience I think is so well written that it does not feel like it.

He hates that in books. This is a fun ride and I am happy to hang on through the entire series. This is how Elle has always gotten by - she is good at it, and she thrives on the thrill.

Unexpectedly, Yassen arrives in a helicopter and shoots Sayle in the same manner he did Ian before rescuing Alex. The author really made you feel like you were in the moment.
The whole book was empty. Wolf wake up and see Alex fighting and Wolf sees that Alex saved his life. Alex then hitches a ride on a helicopter piloted by Mr. What I think he would say about it positively : 1. I honestly didn't anticipate the outcome of the mystery and the way it was stopped was very interesting. In regards to age range I would encourage ten year old's to give it a go, unless there are any precocious readers.
